The Medal was secured by a ring through the medal suspension loop to a standard Soviet pentagonal mount covered by a 24mm wide blue silk moiré ribbon with 2mm yellow edge stripes and a 6mm wide central red stripe

There is some visible on the 2 inches closest to the guard

with the usual file marks (yasuri-me)

This is a wonderful example of the classic Japanese Type 90 Tetsubo ( "steel cap") helmet, also colloquially called the tetsukabuto ( "steel helmet") by Japanese troops. Features include: Original partial yellow SNLF decal painted on front Excellent complete three pad leather liner, with 2 of the 3 pads still present. Original paint with the expected wear and oxidation, showing the "blue" manganese steel underneath.
