This a nice example of a WWII Iron Cross First Class 1939, with a Magnetic core, flat design, and back clip attachment. It is maker marked 7 on the clip stem for the maker Paul Maybauer of Berlin and is offered in very good condition. The silver plate has a lovely patina, and the black paint on the cross is very good. Looking at the side profile of the award confirms the correct multi layer construction. The basic
