This is an excellent example of a genuine British Mark II steel helmet, which is dated 1942. The stamping on the underside of the shell is worn away and cant be found, as British Manufactured helmets were often marked before they were stamped, which stretches out the markings. The shell is stamped on the underside rim with C. L. C. 1942, for the Canadian Motor Lamp Company of Windsor, who made helmets from 1940 to
