It is marked MILWAUKEE SADDLERY CO 1942 on the back, and embossed U S in an oval on the flap, indicating that this was a military issue holster. The leather body of the holster is now black, and looks to have been stained dyed during service for use during the Post Korean War years into the Vietnam
