‘Free a Man to Fight’ – the  call to arms in  February 1943 when the Women’s Reserve (WR) of the United States Marine Corps was activated

however it definitely had the finish degrade a bit during service

The balance of the finish shows a lovely pattern of checking and crazing

There is a period applied Paratrooper infantry patch on the left side, with officer black gold piping on the cap. The piping of this example seems standard without any serious loss.
