• 4 x period photographs of Gerberick in uniform three of which are large 8” x 10” format in rigid cardboard frames and one is a 4 x 5”

The first of these was the V-1 flying bomb

The leather is degraded and a lot of the stitching has come undone

however the end of the blade is bent sideways about 5/8" from the very tip

What would serve as a sweatband seems to be made of a wax/paper composite that is almost worn through in some spots

This is a great example of a Model 1883 1889 U. S. Campaign Hat as used during the later phases of the Indian War and the Spanish American War. An iconic piece of U. S. Military Headgear! The Model 1883 89 hat has air vents punched in the crown that somewhat resemble a snowflake. This example bears correct "snowflake" punched pattern vents on both sides. The brim has three lines of stitching, correct for this model.
