William III. Halfcrown. 1696 and of good design withFirst bust, large shield, early harp. Octavo to edge. This coin retains much mint bloom. There is haymarking to both sides, and a horizontal mark accross the neck running to the A of GRA which crosses over a vertical die flaw., which along with slight weakness to raised parts of the design may indicate that it was struck from old dies.
