This is quite restrained at present with subtle spice and cool red fruit aromas leading to medium-bodied flavors that are fresh and quite pure before revealing a rich and detailed finish that is supported by firm but integrated tannins and excellent length
It still has a deep colour with little ageing on the rim
with an opaque bluish/purple color to the rim
all wrapped in a classy
Already quite forward
Vieux Chateau Mazerat Vintage:2015 This is quite restrained atThis has ample weight for the vintage, with enticing blackberry and boysenberry confiture flavors inlaid with cocoa powder and dark licorice notes. Theres a tangy iron accent on the finish, but this remains polished overall. The fruit should eventually fill in the available space. Best from 2018 through 2023. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 750 cases made. JM
