Saturated ruby
The wine hits the palate with full-bodied richness
An elegant
Silky and taut on entry
kirsch and thyme-scented perfume
Marquis d'Angerville, Volnay Taillepieds Vintage:2005 Saturated ruby(from a 1. 07 ha parcel of 35+ year old vines). Here the reticent nose is at once ripe yet cool with a lovely layered quality to the mix of violet, spice, dark berry liqueur and Asian style tea aromas. The super sleek, intense, mineral driven and refined medium weight flavors that culminate in a very serious, youthfully austere and built to age finish that just goes on and on. A classic Taillepieds that will require extended patience. (92 94) 2032+
