The 1996 Branaire-Ducru is a delightful vintage and represents the pinnacle of that decade
My only real criticism of Roederer is the estates insistence on using lot numbers that resemble missile launch codes in their complexity

Tardieu-Laurent, Cote Rotie other_regions_italy The 1996 Branaire-Ducru is aMedium pale garnet. Smoky oak, slightly reduced and a little bit spirity suggesting insufficient fruit concentration for the weight of oak influence. Perfumed mid palate and a little drying on the finish. Unnecessarily heavy bottle. (JH)
