earth and lilac
featuring a salty
Coming from a single parcel of high density vines in the Bearwallow Vineyard in Anderson Valley
A brooding and reticent nose only grudgingly displays notes of spice
concentrated yet impressively refined wine with plenty of inner mouth perfume as well as an abundance of palate coating old vine sap that serves to cushion the still quite firm tannic spine on the strikingly persistent finish
Comtes Lafon, Monthelie Duresses other_regions_italy earth and lilacA perfumed and very pretty nose features notes of both red and dark berries along with subtle hints of spice, earth and lilac. There is a lovely sense of vibrancy to the well detailed and delicious medium weight flavors that exhibit a discreet minerality before concluding in an appealingly textured and refreshing finish. While this should reward a few years of cellar time I suspect that it will be accessible young as well. 89 2019+
